As of September 1, 2019, any notice provided by the seller to the buyer as required by state law must include specific information regarding the location of the property within a 100-year flood plain and provide notice of prior flood damage and flood insurance.
The notice must also disclose a seller’s knowledge of water damage not due to a flood event and requires a seller to disclose whether a prior flood-related insurance claim was filed with an insurance provider or the seller received aid from FEMA. Â
Please make sure the latest version of the Seller’s Disclosure is being used on all of your transactions!
