The GRI Law course is designed to give the real estate professional a survey of the common laws applicable to residential real estate practice. The course covers many areas. Legal concepts of real estate discusses the effects of law on the real estate profession. Land description covers surveying, property lines, and reading legal descriptions of land. Real property rights encompasses actual land rights and the limited governmental rights to control real property. Estates in land covers ownership rights. There is in depth coverage of contracts and forms. Encompasses a wide range of issues regarding real property issues. Foreclosures examines the foreclosure process, types of foreclosures, and what owners can do to avoid this process. Recording procedures will help with understanding the recording process and procedures. Lastly, evidences of title is informative regarding deed requirements and title insurance. This course should well prepare a real estate professional to work with laws, statues,surveys, and other essential components regarding the law of residential real property.
